From Classroom to Corporate: Students Gain Real-World Experience

This summer, CLAP-TECH launched an internship programme, giving students enrolled in the Higher Diploma in Data Science the opportunity to gain practical experience with renowned companies that are industry partners of CLAP-TECH, including AMS Solutions Limited, AutoSimply, IBM, Net-Makers Limited, and Towngas.

Over the course of the eight-week programme, the interns engaged directly with seasoned IT professionals, acquiring valuable knowledge and firsthand experience of the sector’s daily operations. This hands-on approach not only offered a glimpse into the practical aspects of IT but also significantly augmented their professional skill set, equipping them with the tools necessary for their future careers.

CLAP-TECH places great importance on professional knowledge training and focuses on the soft skills required for various positions. By cultivating students with both hard and soft skills, it prepares them to thrive in tomorrow’s workforce. The CLAP-TECH 3+2 pathway begins at Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) level and proceeds to Higher Diploma programmes. The two-year Higher Diploma in Data Science programme is offered by the School of Continuing Education at Hong Kong Baptist University.
