CLAP-TECH Pathway recently hosted its first-ever study tour to Singapore for the first batch of Applied Learning Course – Tech Basics graduates. The four-day tour, held in January, aimed to expand the horizons of students by providing them with an opportunity to acquire new IT knowledge, learn about local culture in Singapore, and gain new insights into their study plans.
During the tour, students participated in a campus tour at National University of Singapore, visited the NEWater Visitor Centre, Urban Redevelopment Authority, Punggol District, National Museum of Singapore, Merlion Park, and Gardens by the Bay. The highlight of the trip was a visit organised by IBM, one of CLAP-TECH Pathway’s industry partners, to Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore’s principal provider of career and technical education. The visit to ITE allowed students to experience cultural exchange, including local taster lectures, campus tours, and the opportunity to present in front of a foreign audience.
Students appreciated the opportunity to jump out of the classroom and experience cultural exchange in a different country while equipping themselves with vocational skills needed for their future careers.
