The Jockey Club Multiple Pathways Initiative – CLAP-TECH Pathway has recently released a new promotional video showcasing its achievements. The video features insights and testimonials from a teacher, school principal, and student, highlighting the initiative’s impact on over 800 students from more than 70 secondary schools since its launch in 2020.
The CLAP-TECH Pathway strives to empower Hong Kong’s youth with the competence and opportunities needed to explore their future, and it has made a positive impact towards this vision. 94% of its graduates said they made informed decisions about their future careers, with 1 in 2 students selecting an IT or engineering path after graduating from secondary school.
The video also highlights some of CLAP-TECH Pathway’s key milestones and momentum gained over the past few years, including the launch of an Applied Learning Course in Tech Basics in 2020, a Higher Diploma in Data Science programme in 2022, and the addition of a Creative Media track featuring an Applied Learning Course on Multimedia Storytelling in 2022. The initiative has also expanded its industry partner network, with over 25 partners currently supporting the CLAP-TECH Pathway.
Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the CLAP-TECH Pathway is Hong Kong’s first multiple VPET pathway in mainstream senior secondary and post-secondary education, formed under the tripartite partnership of HKBU, industry partners, and secondary schools.
