On 7 April, CLAP-TECH Pathway funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has hosted its first Smart City webinar, in which its Supporting Organisation Hong Kong Computer Society, and the six Industry Partners, namely IBM, ASTRI, Towngas, UBS, Microsoft, and Equinix, pivoted on “Hong Kong Smart City Blueprint” of the government to elaborate their own measures and projections on the six major aspects: Government, Environment, Economy, People, Mobility, and Living.
In the latter part of the webinar, students were assigned to groups per the career interests they had opted for, and had a chance to learn from industry experts. Besides guests from the industry partners mentioned above, there were also special guests from Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing, HKSTEMA, and Gamenoodlesoup, who generously imparted their insights. Students understood job requirements of different roles from their sharing and personal stories, and gained more confidence in joining the relevant industries.
