What's New : Welcoming New Cohort of Higher Diploma in Data Science Students

CLAP-TECH Pathway recently welcomed a new cohort of students for its Higher Diploma in Data Science programme. The students were given a warm introduction through a two-week orientation that included a bootcamp in mathematics and programming and course introductions aimed at preparing them for their two-year programme.

The orientation also emphasised career and life development, as CLAP-TECH Pathway aspires to equip students with the necessary soft skills to prepare them for the future workforce. The students participated in career workshops where they gained insights into the industry and learned about future opportunities in the IT industry.

As part of their orientation activities, the students also engaged in a meaningful volunteer activity organised by a non-profit organisation. Students visited the elderly and taught them how to effectively use tablets and telehealth devices to monitor their health conditions, making a valuable contribution to the community.

The orientation showcased the vibrant campus life and learning opportunities at the School of Continuing Education, HKBU, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the new students in both academic and personal development.
